Arsenal beat Chelsea to knock them out of the Carabao Cup

On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, Arsenal knocked Chelsea out of the Carabao Cup with a two-goal margin.

The match began with both teams pushing hard to score an early goal, but neither succeeded. Chelsea, coached by Liam Rosenior, had been given hope by their supporters that they could beat Arsenal 2–0, which was the result they needed to reach the final. However, that did not happen, as Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta had prepared well for his opponent.

In the first leg, Arsenal had defeated Chelsea 3–2, meaning Arsenal only needed to avoid conceding in this match. When the regular 90 minutes ended, the referee added six minutes of stoppage time. Due to repeated time-wasting, the referee added one more minute, and it was during that extra minute that Arsenal scored the decisive goal through Kai Havertz, sealing their place in the Carabao Cup final.

Arsenal eliminated Chelsea with an aggregate score of 4–2. Arsenal will now wait for the winner between Manchester City and Newcastle, who play on Wednesday at 10:00 PM. In the first leg, Manchester City beat Newcastle 2–0, and City are considered the favorites to face Arsenal in the final.
