President Paul Kagame has appointed Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva as the new Prime Minister, replacing Dr. Eduard Ngirente.
This was announced on Wednesday evening.
Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva became Prime Minister four months and 26 days after he was appointed Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Rwanda (BNR). On February 25, 2025, he was given the responsibility of being the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Rwanda (BNR).
Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva replaces Dr. Eduard Ngirente who had been in this position for 8 years because he was appointed in 2017.
