APR FC, which is yet to sign one foreign player, has returned to the market after signing 7 players, including 2 foreigners.
According to APR FC Chairman Brig.Gen Deo Rusanganwa, the club will only sign three foreign players, and has so far signed only two, namely Ugandan Ronald Ssekiganda and Burkina Faso’s Memel Raouf Dao.
LAVERITE.RW reports from Ghanaian journalist Edmund Okai Gyimah, who works in Rwanda, that APR FC wanted a Ghanaian player named Stephen Amankona, who plays as a right-back, but the team he played for, Belkum Chersea of Ghana, reportedly paid APR FC $100,000 (more than 145 million Frw).
Stephen Amankona was born in 2000 and is 25 years old. He joined Berkum Chersea from Asante Kotoko.
In the 26 games he played in the league, he scored 15 goals and provided no assists. In those 26 games, he received 7 yellow cards.
This player is not only wanted by APR FC, but is also wanted by Ismaily SC from Egypt, Caizer Chiefs from South Africa, Yanga Africans and Simba SC from Tanzania.
