In an interview with Mario Nawfal’s YouTube channel, Corneille Nanga revealed that the incumbent Tshisekedi has not been elected president for more than three decades, and that he is plunging the DRC into a deep crisis.
Nangaa, who served as President of the National Electoral Commission (CENI) in the DRC from 2015 to 2021, announced that Tshisekedi won the 2018 elections with 38.56% of the vote, followed by Martin Fayulu with 34.82%.
Nangaa revealed that the international community played a major role in rigging President Tshisekedi’s 2018 elections.
A journalist who interviewed Nangaa asked him if he was the one who helped Tshisekedi come to power, and he replied that various organs of the Congolese government and the international community were involved in rigging Tshisekedi’s vote.
Corneille Nangaa is currently the leader of the Alliance Fleuve Congo (AFC), a coalition of M23 and Twirwaneho.
In this interview, Nangaa revealed that members of the UN peacekeeping mission, Monusco, also played a major role in rigging Tshisekedi’s vote.
Nanga said: “They all agreed, and they said it was the best way. That’s why I said it wasn’t me. Even Monusco played a major role in it.”
Corneille Nangaa also said that Martin Fayulu was the winner of the 2018 presidential election.
